To the north of the Southern Fort is Liepāja's largest cemetery - Central. In the southern part of the cemetery, a fraternal cemetery of Red Army soldiers has been established, where Soviet soldiers who fell in the Liepāja area are reburied, including the commander of the 67th Rifle Division, Major General Nikolajs Dedayevs, who led the defense of Liepāja in June 1941.

Redans

Redan is part of the tsarist fortress built at the end of the 19th century, where fierce battles took place in 1919 defending Liepāja against Bermont's troops. Now in Redana it is possible to get acquainted with the history of Karosta, Liepaja fortress and the heroic defense of Liepaja in 1919.
