Türisalu–Naage reedbed shelter Fortification
The Türisalu–Naage position reed shelter was built as part of the Tallinn land front of the Peter the Great sea fortress. Of the planned larger reed shelters, only one was completed in this area. The structure is located on the edge of the cliff and was intended to protect the personnel of the entire reed from artillery fire. According to descriptions from the 1930s, the shelter was already partially unfinished during construction – some of the finishing and doors were missing, among other things. Unlike several other large shelters of the sea fortress, no underground connecting tunnels were built here. Today, it is a valuable example of the shelter architecture of the Tallinn land front.
