Vääna-Posti reed shelter No. 1 is one of the most magnificent concrete structures on the Tallinn land front of the Peter the Great sea fortress and, according to the Estonian Military History Database, the largest reed shelter in the sea fortress. The building, which had an angular ground plan, had a large room in the eastern part, the construction of which used curved steel beam supports. The structure also had a deeper basement and a connection to underground passages. A detail indicating the year of construction in 1917 has been preserved on the facade. The massive shelter clearly shows the scale on which the fortified land front around Tallinn was planned.
