Hops reed shelter 3 Fortification
Humala rowan shelter No. 3 was part of the Humala defensive position on the Tallinn land front of the Peter the Great sea fortress during World War I. Originally, it was a large team shelter where soldiers defending the position could be gathered during battles. After World War II, the facility took on a new function: the old shelter was rebuilt and the command post of the 14th division of the Soviet air defense forces was built on its site. Thus, the fortification architecture of the Russian Empire from the First World War and the Soviet air defense system from the Cold War meet in the same facility.
