The main memorial of the War of Independence in Liepāja is located in the Northern Cemetery, where on November 24, 1924, the monument created by K. Bikše - Pikše was opened to those who fell in the liberation battles near Liepāja. The monument was damaged during World War II, but was restored in 1989.
