It is located on the left bank of the Daugava (Ķeguma HPP) between Pilskalni and Krasta Rožkalni houses. It is most easily accessible from the Daugava side if you travel by boat. A small stream surrounds the mound from the north side. Pilskalns is very distinct, but overgrown during vegetation and difficult to recognize for the uninitiated from the side of the HPP reservoir. In the photo of the 1930s found in the "Lost Latvia" of the National Library of Latvia (LNB), it is believed that trenches from the First World War can be seen, encircling the mound's plain. The following information can be found in the resource dedicated to the Mounds of Latvia: "... the height of the embankment above the plain is 3 m.; it is damaged by the trenches of World War. During the war, the plane and the sides were also heavily damaged. Some of the trenches have already been leveled by covering them. Pieces of unturned dishes, coals and bones are strewn across the disturbed black earth. Uzeja, which went around the mountain, was paved in the past, but some owner broke the stones and sold them". In this same spring, you can see a mound and a photo of the Daugava with the mound before the Ķegum HPP water reservoir overflowed.
