Located in front of the chapel in the Old Cemetery in Lubana.

An altar of fire made of granite can be seen.

The altar of holy fire was unveiled on November 18, 1933, in memory of the Lubanians who died in the War of Independence, whose grave location is unknown or located abroad.

Not far from the monument is the Lubāna Tourism and Cultural Heritage Center, where you can see a permanent exposition about the National Resistance Movement activist, poet Broņislav Martuževa, politician Hugo Celmiņš, the first Commander-in-Chief of the Latvian Army Oskars Kalpaks, etc.
