During the lesson, students will try to find answers to the questions: What was the transition period from legal Latvian independence to actual independence? Can tanks and OMON be stopped with non-violent resistance? What gave people courage and what was their motivation? The lesson leaders will discuss with students values, courage, and Latvia 30 years ago and now, because the topic of the lesson is not just history - together we will try to understand the power of national unity and the value of a free and independent state.
