Minesweepers T-212 Štag Military equipment

T-212 Shchtag was a Fugas-class minesweeper project 53-U. A total of 17 project 53-U minesweepers were built and 7 of them were lost during the war.

The minesweeper T-212 Shchtag was built at the Ust-Izhorsk shipyard (factory number 21) on 6 November 1938, launched on 2 December 1939, into service on 26 July 1940. The ship was 62 metres long, 7.2 metres wide and 2.03 metres wide. Displacement 476, speed 18/14 knots, range 4100 nautical miles, two-stroke diesel engine 2800 liters, Schultz and Smeikovo trawls.

 T-212 Shchtag hit a mine in Soela Strait (Estonia) and sank on 3 August 1941.
