World War I place name - "Tempelhofer Feld" - Tempelhof field, which can be seen on a German army map. It is located between Ķeizardambi and Kaulezer (Kaul - See), which is swamped nowadays. From the north, the Tempelhof Field site is surrounded by a distinct massif of inland dunes with forest clearings. On the slopes of the dunes, traces of wartime trenches and settlements (?) can be seen on LIDAR maps and in nature. 1940 The NARA Aerophoto map shows a 1.7 km long and 0.8 km wide forested clearing at the site of Tempelhof Field.

It is believed that the name was given by the German army during the First World War after the name of the same place in the south of Berlin, where the parade ground of the Berlin garrison was established. The place was connected with the military and aviation history of Germany - an airfield was established there. Today, Tempelhof Park is arranged in it.
