Near the old cemetery of Mukuliai village.

At first glance, the inconspicuous and abandoned estate is an important witness to the Russian Empire, the First World War and the Russian Civil War. Mukuliai estate has been mentioned since the 18th century, but in 1872 it was purchased by the Russian military historian, ethnographer, jurist and senator, infantry general Pavel Bobrovsky, who, while living in St. Petersburg, came here for the summer. By the way, the general himself, according to his will, was buried in the Mukuliai cemetery located next to the estate.

In 1878, General Pyotr Wrangel, a general of the Russian Empire, was born in the Mukuliai Manor. After the Bolshevik coup in 1917, he led the Volunteer Army in Russia, which fought against the Red Army. In 1920, Gen. P. Wrangel took over the leadership of the White formations that fought against the Bolsheviks from Gen. Anton Denikin. After the land reform in 1923, the homestead was bought by Dr. Juozas Buzelis (1888-1967), a member of the Constituent Assembly of the restored Independent Lithuania. During the Soviet era, a school operated there, later a recreation center. On one of the walls of the manor building, a plaque hangs marking the birthplace of Gen. P. Wrangel.
