The Kordon complex is located about 10 km east of Saaremaa Bank Bank, along the national road between Leisi and Võhma in the small village of Liiküla.

This is a unique border guard cordon that was established over 60 years ago to guard Estonia's western border in Saaremaa. The object is a classic example of a Soviet border guard cordon in the post-World War II period and was one of the support structures of the "Iron Curtain" during the Cold War. Kordon has one of the highest lookout towers of this type, the total height of which, including the cabin, is about 22 meters. Yevgeny Leonov, a very well-known and beloved Soviet actor, and Mikhail Kalashnikov, the inventor of the legendary Kalashnikov submachine gun, have rested here.

The object is relatively well preserved as a complete and rich cordon complex compared to the few other remaining Soviet border guard bases both in Estonia and in Europe in general. The Yevgeni Leonov museum is being created in the former inn, which also recognizes the well-known Estonian actor Lembit Ulfsak, with whom Leonov participated in the filming of the film "Legend of Ulenspiegel" in Estonia and on whose recommendation he came to Saaremaa. The small house houses a photo exhibition about the history of the cordon and its famous visitors.
