The anti-aircraft defense battery "Nordmole" (Lithuanian: "Northern Pier") is built in the northern part of Klaipėda city - in Melnragė, on the shores of the Baltic Sea.

The anti-aircraft defense battery is a component of the German Navy's coastal and anti-aircraft defense system, which began construction in 1939 after the Klaipėda region was annexed to Germany and military fortification work began in the city. The main function of the battery was the anti-aircraft defense of the city of Klaipėda. In 1939–1944, the anti-aircraft defense battery was armed with four 88 mm SKC-30 anti-aircraft guns, and the battery's buildings consisted of gun positions, underground corridors connecting the gun positions and performing the functions of an ammunition depot.

The facility was abandoned at the end of January 1945.
