Next to the Pikteikiai - Žalsėnai gravel road, in a location easily accessible by car, there is a preserved bunker from the Molotov defensive line.

The Molotov Line is a fortification defensive line that was hastily built by the USSR in 1940–1941, which ran through the territories of Lithuania, Poland, Belarus and Ukraine occupied and annexed by the USSR in 1939–1940. The Molotov Line was divided into the Telšiai, Šiauliai, Kaunas and Alytus fortification districts in Lithuania, and the length of the entire line in Lithuania was 328 km (from Palanga to Kalvarija). The construction of 101 concrete bunkers began on the Lithuanian section of the line, but none of them were completed and fully equipped by the beginning of the German-Russian War in June 1941. Although the Molotov Line was intended for defense against the attack of the German army, it did not fulfill its planned function during the German-Russian War.
