The Pärnu County Military History Centre operates in the historic schoolhouse of Selja village, Tori rural municipality, built in 1890. The aim of the centre is to collect, research and present, above all, the military history of Pärnu County and Estonia. One of its central parts will be a large exhibition of inert munitions and educational materials based on private collections, which will introduce the development of armaments from the War of Independence and the world wars to the present day. The centre also contributes to national defence education and organises programmes for schools and groups. As of 2026, visits will take place by prior arrangement, and the full opening of the centre is planned for the summer of 2027.
