The bunker was located on the second line of defense, 5-10 kilometers from the front line. This bunker was the headquarters of the 257th reserve infantry regiment, where officers lived. In order to feel better in the war landscape, the Germans spared no time in building underground towns that would at least somewhat resemble houses. Hideouts and other building complexes were built on a hill, a stove gave this formation heat and reduced humidity. Next to the porch of the building you can see two metal hooks (holders for insulators), so the building was provided with electricity.
The bunker can be viewed from the inside by contacting the First World War Museum in Medumos: +371 29431360, +371 26274123.
