In the village of Diažiaikaimis, Anykščiai district

In 1928, during the celebration of the tenth anniversary of Lithuania's independence, monuments were erected and unveiled in many Lithuanian cities, towns and villages to commemorate this anniversary. The village of Didžiakaimis was no exception, where a stone monument was erected to commemorate those who died for Lithuania's freedom. Jonas Pilka (1922–2004), who was originally from Trakinai, built a stone monument of an original triangular plan with an iron cross on his homestead in 1992 with his own funds to his uncle Povilas Pilka and others who died for Lithuania's freedom. Plaques are hung on the monument dedicating the monument to the organizer of the Anykščiai Region volunteers, P. Pilka, and to the Anykščiai Region volunteers who participated in the Independence battles. The memorial plaques were renewed in 2019. Several trees with purposefully deformed trunks grow near the homestead.
