Partisan farm in Salantai Museum

In the central part of the city of Salantai.

The Partisan Hut in Salantai uses an exhibition, reconstructions, stories and educational activities to bring to life the history and everyday life of the partisans of the Samogitian Region Sword Team. Visitors are greeted by uniformed and armed forest brothers. Stories are told using the memories of contemporaries, photo albums, authentic weapons. And here, not only is history remembered and revived, but the importance of commemorating freedom struggles, the ideals of freedom and democracy are also discussed. This is a history lesson in a different way, developing an understanding that history is not always black or white.

The creator of the Partisan Hut is Aurimas Rapalis, a partisan culture enthusiast. The museum opened its doors to visitors in 2020.
