Lessmann Brothers Cemetery Memorial site
Between Ėega and Dzintara – Vecumnieku road (P88), in a remote place in a forest massif, is the cemetery of the Lezmaņi (Lesmaņi) brothers. You can reach them along a small forest road, crossing a stream from the side of the P88 road, or along a small forest road that winds between Ėega and Širmeļupe. The cemetery is surrounded by an earthen rampart, on one side of which there is a monument, and along the edges – plaques with the names of the fallen and the time period. 102 soldiers of the German army and 26 soldiers of the Russian army who fell in the period from 1915 to 1918 are buried in the cemetery.
