114

Located on the left side of Highway P79 Ērgļi-Koknese, 3 km from Ērgļi, next to the Peace Cemetery.

Visit the mass grave of 10,000 fallen Soviet soldiers.

In the late 1950s, as the 15th anniversary of the end of World War II approached, the construction of the Communal Cemetery for fallen Soviet Army soldiers began in Ērgļi. The remains of about 10,000 fallen Soviet soldiers, collected from all over the Ērgļi area - Vestiena, Liepkalne, Sausnėja, Jumurda - were reburied there.

A granite plaque with a diagram of the battles in the Ērgļi area in September 1944 has been installed at the cemetery.
