Located in Laudona, on the side of the road P82 (Laudona - Jaunkalsnava), Madona region.

Memorial to the fallen Soviet Army pilot.

Plane tail on a pedestal. A metal plate with the inscription is attached to it. Dedicated to Kornev Arkady (September 19, 1946 - October 16, 1987), who died in the line of duty. Next to the pedestal is an information sign about Laudon.

According to the stories of the residents of Bērzaune parish, the dead pilot saved Laudona, because the plane could have crashed into the village, but the pilot, by sacrificing himself, diverted it.
The training flights were performed from Jēkabpils airfield and the locals knew that sometimes over Bērzaune parish, Sauleskalns (near the base of Mārciena army) the planes overcame the speed of sound with noise over the settlement.
