Located in āaudona, on the side of road P82 (āaudona – Jaunkalsnava), in Madona municipality.

Memorial to the fallen Soviet Army pilot.

The tail of the plane on a pedestal. Metal plates with an inscription are attached to it. Dedicated to Kornev Arkadiy (19 September 1946 – 16 October 1987), who died in the line of duty. Next to the pedestal is an information sign about āaudona.

Stories from the residents of Bērzaune parish say that the deceased pilot saved Āudona, because the plane could have fallen on the village, but the pilot, sacrificing himself, diverted it away.
Training flights were conducted from the Jēkabpils airfield, and locals have been known to say that sometimes over Bērzaune parish, Sauleskalns (near the Mārcienas army base), planes exceeded the speed of sound with noise above the populated area.
